knowledge (#7)

I would say the difference between knowledge and learning is that learning is a process, while knowledge is an experience. Learning happens when you are in school or maybe when you read, knowledge is gained through any practical experience. Hyland tells us that knowledge can come from our discourse communities. Knowledge varies from information because you can be given information and not do anything with it but with knowledge you retain it and keep building on top of it.

Johnson describes our ideas not as something that happens in one single moment but it is an idea made over time, with different concepts put all in one, and that forms a new idea. I feel like the approach to my research project but I will further think about collaborating different ideas as I conduct the interview. The interview will provide different perspective and outlet because I would be speaking to someone who has witnessed the topic first hand. It may even provide a deeper understanding than research can because they can connect personally while research will be strictly based off of facts.
